Finally the time has come. Corinne is ready for her first high-altitude flight after a final test run on the practice slope in Grüsch. The Airpole flight school travels by bus to Fanas and from there by gondola lift to the Sassauna hut. At the Eggli takeoff site, the three "first-time flyers" get ready. Corinne was more anxious in the gondola than now at the launch site. But you can see her tension and I have to reassure her that everything will be fine. The steep take-off area and the 1100 meters down to the valley look a bit "gfürchig". After the radio test and 5-point check, it's time to go: Corinne takes off like a champ, takes off and screams "GERONIMOO! No question if she liked it. That was a perfect first flight.
