A cozy Saturday. We have nothing planned, except a party with the neighbors and a Swiss family who is visiting South Africa. Corinne and I spend the morning reading by the pool. The temperatures climb today even above 40 degrees. In addition we expect 2 milimeters of rain. We doubt if it will touch the ground. Tiger takes it as calmly as we do and flits in the garden bed.
Wendolin, the pet turtle, comes out after almost a week in his little house and slowly makes his way across the garden towards the feeding station kitchen. Tripstraps. A cute little guy. Eats comfortably through a mountain of lettuce which towers over his shell.
Around 4 o'clock the friends arrive. Cozy get-together at and in the pool. We all look forward to the typical South African fish "Snook" which is grilled over the open fire. Under constant smearing with lite juice, etc.. We are curious about the taste.
The short rain turns out to be a bit heavier than expected. We move the tables under the veranda. There the Temparatur is by the dammed air but again 5 degrees Higher. But the fish is ready. And really, the snook, or the three snooks are the hammer. Super delicious.
